The purpose of the date column is to show when a firehouse was at that address. There may be some overlap of companies using the same address.
The last date shown at an address is when that firehouse was closed.
Addresses in parentheses under an address are due to remapping and renumbering of streets by the City
Half of the Department's firehouses were totally destroyed in the 1906 Fire. Many houses were rebuilt at the same address. This rebuilding project took several years to complete.
There are many locations were an old firehouse was demolished and a new building constructed on the same lot.
Please refer to the company listing of firehouse locations for the correct dates of a company at a specific firehouse. (This section is currently under construction. Please check back for new links and updated pages.)
