VETERAN FIREMAN DIES AFTER DRILL
After falling to the ground while engaged in drill practice at the Fire Department school, Seventieth and Folsom streets, yesterday, Frank Becker, 63, veteran hoseman of Company 23, died while being taken to Mission Emergency Hospital.
Physicians attributed his death to heart failure.
Becker has been a member of the department for 38 years, being appointed in September 1886. He is survived by an invalid wife, who lives at the family home, 1909 Broderick street; two sons, John Becker Jr., deputy coroner, and John Becker, post office employee, and daughter, Miss Gladys Becker, all of San Francisco.
The body has been taken to the funeral parlor of Halsted and Company. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.

BECKER – in this city, October 29, 1924. Frank William, beloved husband Margret Becker, loving father of Frank F., Charles M., and Gladys M. Becker, loving brother of Mrs. Mary Welch, a native of San Francisco, California, age 65 years. A member of Windows and orphans aid association SFFD; David Scannell club; veteran firemen’s Association and Sequoia parlor No. 160, N.S.G.W.
Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services today, (Saturday) at 10:00 a.m., at the Chapel of Halsted & Co., 1122 Sutter st. Internment Holy Cross-Mausoleum.
